Hello Bill,
I’ve read this post at least 5 times since you posted it. Love. It. Last Friday morning your words came to mind as the hours ticked by and when 12 noon struck I realized I hadn’t done one thing contributing to my planned work day. God had other plans – clearly God wanted me to cast my net on the other side of the boat. I should have figured something was up when my morning quiet time took a different direction and also a bigger chunk of time than I had planned. Then came a friend who needed a sounding board on a significant client issue then came a phone call from the school nurse about my daughter’s possibly broken arm and on and on it went. Your post CONTINUES to cheer me on as I learn to let go of the “net of rigidity.” Thanks.

This is a great list but for me the bottom line is that a leader must want to serve others and not be self-serving. When people recognize you want to serve, they are more attracted to you and then, if you can add the traits you listed, you’ve got a winner!
